What Aldus collects, why, who handles it for us, and how you can export or delete it.

In short
- Your report files are read on your device. Aldus receives the rows it needs, not the files.
- Aldus never asks for a store password or cookies and never signs in to a store account.
- Your royalty data is used only to provide Aldus to you. It is not shared across customers or used for benchmarks.
- You can delete all imported data from Settings at once. A deletion request by email is completed within 72 hours.
- Product analytics are currently off.

What Aldus collects

Aldus uses the cookies that keep you signed in. Your choice of Print or Plate is remembered in your browser. Product analytics are currently off; if that changes, this page will say so first.
What Aldus does not collect
- Your report files. They are read on your device and are not stored on Aldus’s servers.
- Your store password. Aldus never asks for it.
- Cookies or a session from your store account. Aldus never signs in to it.
- An account password. You sign in with a code sent by email.
How your data is used
Your royalty data is used only to provide Aldus to you.

- Build and show your ledger, sign you in, answer your messages, and keep the service running and protected.
- Never
- Sold. Shared with or shown to other customers. Combined across customers. Used for benchmarks.
Who handles it for us
Aldus runs on a small number of service providers. Each is listed, with what it does and the kind of data it touches, on the Service providers page.

- Web fonts
Beyond these providers, we disclose information only when the law requires it, or to the successor of the business if Aldus changes hands, under terms no weaker than these.
Keeping and deleting
- Imported data
- Kept until you delete it.
- Delete in the app
- The owner of a workspace can delete all imported data from Settings. It is removed at once.
- Delete by request
- Write to privacy@askaldus.com. Deletion is completed within 72 hours.

Your choices
- Export your ledger as a file from Settings, at any time.
- Delete your imported data from Settings, at any time.
- Ask us for a copy of your information, or to correct or delete it.
The law where you live may give you further rights over your information, such as objecting to a use of it or complaining to a data protection authority. Write to privacy@askaldus.com and we will answer.
Advertising data
Ad spend reporting from Amazon Ads and Meta Ads is planned and is not available today. When it opens, this is how it will work.
- How you connect
- On Amazon Ads’ or Meta Ads’ own consent screen. Aldus never handles an advertising password.
- Access tokens
- Encrypted at rest.
- Consent
- Renewed at least every 365 days.
- Deletion
- Ads data is deleted within 72 hours of a request.
- Other customers
- Ads data is never shown to other customers and never aggregated across them.

Children
Aldus is a business tool for authors and publishers. It is not meant for children, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
Changes to this policy
When this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. If a change affects how your data is used, we will tell you in Aldus or by email before it takes effect.
